Band Bottle Drive

Our next bottle drive will be on Saturday January 9, 2016.

It will take place from 9:00am until 12:00pm in the school parking lot.

Thank you to all of you that attended our Winter Concert on Tuesday featuring students from grades 5-9. It was a great evening of music and we could not have done it without your support. A special thank you to all of our parented volunteers and the members of the Elboya School Band Parents Association.

Western Canada High School Concert

Another reminder of our participation in the Western Canada High School feeder concert.
Tuesday December 17, 2015 at 7:30pm

Western Feeder Concert November 17

Tuesday November 17 we will be performing at Western Canada High School.
Concert starts at 7:30pm and will feature the jr. high feeder schools to Western.
The students will have an opportunity to hear the many different groups that are available to them
at Western such as a jazz band and choir.
The concert will finish with a mass band of all the jr. high groups and the grade 10 band.

Jazz Band Clinic at Mount Royal

We will be having a Jazz clinic at Mount Royal University on Friday October 30th.

Students will have the opportunity to work with some of Calgary's finest jazz musicians.

Bottle Drive Results!

Our first bottle drive of the year was a great success.

Thank you to all that came out and helped collect bottles.

Special thank you to the members of the Elboya School Band Parents Association for organizing the drive!

Morning Rehearsals

Morning Rehearsal are now in full swing, especially Friday morning Jazz Rehearsals.
Remember: Jazz band is open to students from grades 7-9.

Year end concert

Elboya Concert Band Wins Gold at ABA Festival

On Wednesday May 20, 2015 the Elboya Concert band travelled to Red Deer Alberta to participate in the Alberta Band Association's Festival of Bands. This festival consists or 3 adjudicated parts. The first being the on stage performance followed by a band clinic session and then a sight reading clinic. The students earned a superior rating in all parts of the festival resulting in a gold award.
This is the first time the Concert Band has won this award under the direction of Mr. Irwin.

Whistler 2015

Whistler 2015 was a great experience for the students.
They performed very well and were able to learn from many different adjudicators.
Students also enjoyed the many different performances at the festival and the gala concert.
